What does BrioAgro offer?
BrioAgro offers solutions based on innovative technology and digitalisation to help improve agricultural production in any country. With a strong presence in Spain, it is expanding into more than 10 countries across four continents: Europe, Africa, America, and Asia.
BrioAgro’s key differentiating value lies in its soil moisture calibration algorithm, which makes it possible to characterise soil moisture according to soil type and crop. When connected to actuators, it enables intelligent irrigation, applying water exactly when the crop needs it. This results in savings in water, energy, and fertilisers, while also reducing labour associated with irrigation.
After multiple field studies, BrioAgro has demonstrated increased yields thanks to this irrigation approach based on real-time data.
BrioAgro offers a wide range of sensors and takes part in numerous national and international projects with researchers and farmers. Its most in-demand solutions include:
1. Sensors for rent: BrioAgro ViTA
Used for intelligent irrigation, monitoring the soil near the roots at one or two depths, as well as measuring temperature and electrical conductivity. To irrigate precisely when the crop needs it, soil moisture values are referenced to field capacity and the crop’s Readily Available Water (RAW).
- ViTA 7
- ViTA 9
- ViTA 11
2. Included as standard with each device
- Geolocated weather station (15 indicators)
- Satellite indicators: NDVI and NDII
- Irrigation simulator for homogeneous irrigation
- Alert system (simple or complex)
- Access via mobile application or web browser
- Technical support for installation, training, and troubleshooting
3. Complementary irrigation sensors connected to each ViTA
They provide information on when irrigation takes place, making it possible to calculate the litres-per-plant indicator for each irrigation event and for the selected period.
- Dripper or pipe flow meter. Installed next to the ViTA on the nearest dripper.
- Rain gauge. Installed next to the ViTA, it measures litres per m² applied through irrigation and rainfall.
4. Actuators for intelligent irrigation
- Aqua Power. Irrigation actuator compatible with 95% of irrigation controllers on the market.
- Aqua Fertigation. Fertigation and irrigation controller designed to deliver intelligent irrigation with multiple functionalities and advanced control.
5. CUE FarmLog
- Digital Farm Logbook integrated with BrioAgro’s monitoring and intelligent irrigation application, designed to facilitate collaboration between technicians and farmers.
6. Other types of sensors and indicators
- Next-generation weather stations
- Radiometers to measure canopy temperature and its difference from ambient temperature
- Sensors for temperature, relative humidity, atmospheric pressure, and water stress (VPD)
- Leaf wetness sensors
- Ultrasonic anemometers
